What will Christmas cost you?
For my Final Major Project I felt compelled to design for low - or no - income families. I wanted to
investigate and expose the financial pressure that Christmas puts on families in the UK.
With so many advertisements encouraging people to part with their money throughout the holiday
period, there is a shortage of good design amongst the non-profit organisations that people should trust. 30% of the UK will end up in debt as a result of Christmas, yet, the nation's favourite and most memorable ads stem from retail giants such as John Lewis, Sainsbury's and Harvey Nichols. My aim was to relieve the pressure from those who struggle during this holiday through a series of short animated films for The Money Advice Service. Without removing the magic and enjoyment of Christmas, this campaign encourages those who are most financially vulnerable to seek financial advice/support before it's too late.
